The two-storeyed shop in the 1950s, owned by Charles Gray, who is standing in front of the store. There were petrol pumps outside, and they also sold ice cream, besides groceries. A bakery had been added in the 1940s (originally it had been in Macandrew Bay, but that building burnt down), which delivered bread and pies as far as The Cove. The shop closed for business in the 1970s, and became a private dwelling.
