In 1982, the Frazers tripled the size, digging out the bottom storey to create three bedrooms and a bathroom and extending on one side to create new bedrooms/studies, so that the living area upstairs was able to be expanded and the existing children's bedroom became a dining area. The rotting weatherboards and roughcast were replaced by New Zealand larch cladding. A carport was added to the back.
