A shot from the first Hall down into Smiths Bay about 1910. The formation of Oxley Crescent is well under way. The hall itself was built over a creek: you can just see the entrance bridge between the road and the front of the hall. The creek flowed under the hall. These days the water flows through a culvert, which is creating problems with slumping in the new road.
