Because of the new sub-division, the entrance to Camp Street, and the intersection with Portobello Road, has had to be reshaped and widened. This was progressively done through 2022 and 2023. The road surface had to be widened and raised in places, and a concrete wall, with many drainage pipes and overflow outlets, had to be laid against the steep earth bank. Finally the entrance itself was reshaped to allow for safe turning into it.
