Dear Broad Bay Community Centre members and Broad Bay community yet to be members.

 

At the last AGM the members signalled that the Committee should investigate the possibility of extending the usage of the community centre, and to seek funding to achieve this.  As a result, the Committee approached a number of builders to price the completion of a wooden deck area in front of the Etheridge rooms (behind the main hall), complete with ramp access and seating, and renovations to the main hall’s kitchen facilities. The deck area would provide an indoor / outdoor flow, allow access to our view and cater for a more varied list of users. Initial approaches have been made to local funding agencies, and to date the response has been positive.

 

Therefore the Committee is looking at completing a number of funding requests to pay for the project and we are seeking your input on the plans to construct a deck in front of the Etheridge Rooms prior to lodging the first funding application.  The plans we have decided on for the deck are below.  Please indicate your support, or otherwise, prior to Sunday 23rd October to allow time to meet the first funding deadline.
