The Broad Bay Community Centre premises are available for events and hire. Preference is given to Broad Bay residents. The basic rate for members is $15 per hour for the Hall or the Etheridge room (behind the hall, with a grass area).  Sample rates are below, but do contact us for rates for longer periods of hire. Equipment (tables, chairs, crockery, cutlery, etc.) is also available for members to borrow, and an appropriate donation will be negotiated.

Hourly rate – $15 for members, $20 non-members

Children’s Party – $35 for members, $50 non-members

Private Function – $85 for members, $120 non-members

Funerals or Memorials – by donation 

Note: Non-members must pay in advance

BONUS! Community Centre members don’t pay a bond, and also get 1 free hour of hire (single membership) and 2 free hours (household membership); or combine free hours with other members.

HALL CLEANING – a new approach to make it easier:  All Community Centre hire agreements include a requirement for those hiring the facilities to clean the hall after using it, ready for the next users. For anyone feeling stretched for the time or energy to clean up afterwards, we are now able to put you in contact with cleaners you can employ to do the clean-up for you. Please note that whether you decide to do it yourself or to employ others, cleaning is the responsibility of the hirer.
