Good Morning I’m writing to let you know about work on the major slip on Highcliff Road that occurred in heavy rain in April. Slip repairs are due to start in early October and are expected to be finished by the end of the year. Conservation Week Events at the NZ Marine Studies Centre, Portobello Get a close look at a 2.5 metre Sevengill Shark! During Conservation Week join marine scientists to find out more about sharks, their role in the ecosystem and why they should be protected. Update on Peninsula Connection – August Construction is well underway on the section of the Peninsula Connection between Turnbulls Bay and Portobello. The project includes road widening and construction of a shared path for pedestrians and cyclists. In some areas, the road will be raised to protect it during high tides.
