Bessie and her son Leslie Fowler at Broad Bay Post Office. Bessy Fowler was the postmistress from 1924 to 1939. She developed the building, dividing the P&T office in two, one part had the letterboxes and a desk for stamping the toll cards, and the other, the posting basket and a bench for stamping letters.
